Float Pool Licensed Practical Nurse (New Graduates Encouraged)

Department : Float Pool

Shift : Full-Time, Days

The Float Pool Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) plays a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care across various units within the facility. This position is ideal for new graduates eager to jumpstart their careers. The LPN will utilize both technical and interpersonal skills to address the psychosocial, physical, and overall needs of patients while collaborating with healthcare team members. Under the guidance of a Registered Nurse (RN), the LPN will ensure a high standard of nursing care.

Responsibilities :

Provide direct patient care, which includes medication administration, monitoring vital signs, and assisting with daily living activities, all within the LPN scope of practice.

Deliver care across multiple units as assigned, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability to different patient demographics and unit procedures.

Continuously observe, document, and communicate any changes in patient conditions to the overseeing RN.

Assist in coordinating care and educating patients and families about their health management.

Support the RN in creating and reviewing tailored patient care plans.

Ensure the maintenance of a safe and therapeutic environment for patients, families, and staff.

Comply with all hospital policies, procedures, and regulatory standards.

Qualifications :

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING

• Current and valid state license as a Licensed Practical Nurse.
• Current BLS (AHA) certification upon hire and maintain currency.
• Prior experience in a relevant healthcare setting is preferred, but new graduates are welcome to apply.

The compensation range for this role is approximately $33.00 to $36.62 per hour, with final pay determined based on qualifications, experience, education, and credentials.
