The Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) is a key member of the clinical care team, providing mental health counseling and therapy to individuals, couples, families, and groups in various settings based on patient needs.

Responsibilities include conducting assessments, developing and monitoring treatment plans, providing therapy for adults and children, and addressing behavioral and mental health issues. The LPC consults with the team regarding complex cases and medication management, completes clinical assessments, and assesses suicide risk with appropriate referrals. Documentation, confidentiality, and HIPAA compliance are essential. The role involves coordinating with community agencies and collaborating with billing staff to ensure proper coding.

Qualifications include licensure as a Professional Counselor, a minimum of two years’ clinical experience, and proficiency in documentation. Bilingual skills are preferred.
