Title : Electronic Test Technician
Location : St. Charles, IL
Hire Type : Direct Hire
Shift : 1st Shift (6 : 00 AM – 2 : 30 PM)
Pay : $30-$34 / HR.

The Test Technician is responsible for analyzing and resolving electronic test failures, identifying root causes, and ensuring corrective actions are implemented effectively. Working under the direction of the Manufacturing Process Engineering Group Manager, this role is critical to maintaining high product quality and production efficiency.
Job Duties :
Perform visual inspection and electrical testing of all electronic failures.
Identify the root cause of failures using electronic output files, multimeter readings, and bridge measurements.
Troubleshoot and resolve soldering issues on electronic failed boards per IPC-610 and company quality standards.
Repair identified issues or instruct inspectors on proper corrective methods.
Record failure reasons accurately in the electronic test database.
Set up electronic machines for re-testing failed boards.
Analyze electronic first-pass and final yields using automated reports and recommend corrective actions.
Generate weekly Excel reports detailing electronic rework and work-in-process status.
Maintain a clean, organized work area and complete daily cleanup tasks.
Participate in cross-training with related positions as needed.
Support company quality and continuous improvement initiatives.
Report nonconforming products or issues to supervisors, group leaders, or technicians.
Implement environmental policies related to work activities.
Perform additional related duties as assigned.
Qualifications :
Minimum 5 years of direct experience with Agilent / Keysight 3070 electronic test systems.
Associate degree or equivalent 2-year technical education.
At least 5 years of experience in an electronics manufacturing analysis or inspection role.
Strong troubleshooting skills with electronic circuits.
3+ years of solder inspection and repair experience.
Proficiency with Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Excel.
Ability to read and interpret circuit diagrams.
Strong attention to detail, documentation accuracy, and quality mindset.
