About The Position

We are seeking an experienced Urgent Care Nurse Practitioner for a 42-day locum tenens opportunity in Louisiana. This assignment begins on Nov 17, 2025, and features a rotating schedule with 12-hour weekday shifts and weekend shifts. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 recent years of urgent care experience, Department of Transportation (DOT) certification, and be comfortable acting as the sole provider while managing a patient load of 30-35 per day.

Responsibilities and Duties

Serve as the sole provider in an urgent care setting

Perform basic urgent care procedures independently

Manage a daily patient volume of 30-35

Deliver care to patients presenting with a range of urgent needs

Complete Department of Transportation (DOT) physicals and certifications as required

Ensure accurate and timely documentation of patient encounters

Maintain compliance with all relevant healthcare regulations and standards

Additional Information

Must have at least 2 recent years of urgent care experience

Department of Transportation (DOT) certification required

Must be licensed to practice as a Nurse Practitioner in Louisiana

Comfortable with 12-hour shifts
