Warehouse Receiving is responsible for receiving and unloading material using power equipment, staging product in the receiving area for verification, preparing and loading outbound shipments, and maintaining the safety / sanitation / security of the warehouse environment. He or she appropriately handles all materials following company policies and procedures to ensure a safe workplace. Associates should be flexible to perform other functions such as inventory control, pulling and preparing items for shipment and replenishment.
Qualifications
- Must be 18 years or older
- Six months of experience in a similar position preferred
- Experience in operating a pallet jack, forklift and other power equipment preferred
Responsibilities
Unload inbound or outbound shipments safely to move items to the proper staging area using power equipmentAccurately verify all inbound or outbound products by physically matching products received to a purchase orderEfficiently separate, stack and build pallets by hand according to product type, size, vintage, and quantityScan and move product to a designated location using United technologyMove product from the receiving area to a pick location when requiredKeep appropriate records to guarantee inventory control, rotation of stock, and security are maintainedAssist with physical inventories as requiredPerform and submit a daily power equipment check list to the appropriate managerReport in writing any safety or mechanical problems with the power equipmentOperate all equipment in a safe and efficient mannerConduct operations and maintain the facility in a neat, clean, orderly, and safe mannerAssist in maintaining the security of the warehousePerform other duties as assignedCompetencies
