Engineering Technician VI

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Engineering Technician VI to join our team!

Responsibilities :

  • Provide technical oversight and leadership to multidisciplinary teams engaged in the development, sustainment, and enhancement of Navy Electronic Warfare systems.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert (SME) for technical rigor and sound engineering practices across multiple assigned programs and projects.
  • Support the research, development, and implementation of new or enhanced systems, technologies, and engineering processes.
  • Resolve complex technical issues by applying deep domain knowledge and systematic analysis methods.
  • Anticipate and evaluate future mission needs, advising on strategy, technology development, and resource allocation to ensure long-term capability readiness.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to align project objectives with evolving defense requirements.
  • Develop and deliver clear, concise technical briefings, progress updates, and strategic recommendations to government managers and stakeholders.
  • Ensure alignment with NAVAIR workload and lifecycle support expectations, contributing to mission success through technical excellence and innovation.
  • Mentor junior team members and foster a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.
  • Comply with all relevant security protocols and standards in support of Secret-cleared work environments.

Qualifications : Experience / Skills

  • 12 years relevant experience supporting Navy Electronic Warfare Systems - Desired
  • 8 years relevant experience supporting NAVAIR workload - Desired
  • Responsible for providing technical oversight and leadership to a team of personnel in various competencies - Desired
  • Subject matter expertise for Technical Rigor for assigned projects and / or programs - Desired
  • Provide expertise in research / development of new or improved systems or equipment, advancement of technology and processes and resolution of difficult technical issues - Desired
  • Strategic thinking to anticipate future Mission needs and the resources required - Desired
  • Excellent Communication and Briefing Skills to provide status updates to customers, managers, and other stakeholders - Desired
  • Education. High School diploma or GED – Required
  • Security Clearance Required : Secret
  • Performance Location. Government Site (100% onsite at NSWC Crane Division).
  • Position is contingent upon award.
