HJF is seeking a MRI Technician to perform research and / or development in collaboration with others for projects. MRI Technician will aid physicians and other medical personnel by performing a variety of tasks including operating magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) scanners and performing diagnostic testing. A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required. This is the second of three levels within the MRI Technician series.

This position will be in support of the Orthopedics Knee Simulation program at Keller Army Community Hospital in NY.

Responsibilities

• Operate a magnetic resonance imaging scanner to obtain images used by the study for Data collection.
• Operate console and peripheral hardware using study appropriate imaging techniques.
• Enter and monitor patient and study data. Transfer images from disk to electronic media.
• Rely on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals set forth by the protocol and as directed by the supervisor.
• Works under the general supervision of the MRI-designated radiologist while following study protocol. Will report to a chief technologist or manager.
• Ability to work evenings and weekends.
• Other duties as assigned.
