Optics Fabrication Technician

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Optics Fabrication Technician to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for fabricating optical components to precise customer specifications. The position involves various optical fabrication processes, such as beveling, milling, blocking, grinding, polishing, curve generation, and inspection / measurement. This position reports directly to the Production Supervisor or Production Manager.

Key Responsibilities :

• Perform various optical fabrication processes to ensure components meet customer specifications from initial print to finished product.
• Monitor and manage Baume and pH levels to ensure optimal fabrication conditions.
• Execute precise alignment blocking with attention to detail.
• Polish single test plates and maintain wedge control to achieve high-quality finishes.
• Understand the integrated effects of various fabrication steps, identify improvements, and recommend enhancements to boost efficiency and quality.
• Mentor and train junior technicians, offering guidance and support. Potential to take on a leadership role for specific departmental projects.
• Perform other tasks as assigned by management.
