Controller
Peak Energy is accelerating the transition to clean, reliable energy through advanced energy storage systems. We are seeking a Controller to be the first dedicated accounting leader at Peak and build our finance infrastructure from the ground up. This role will be hands-on in the near term taking ownership of the close process, supporting our ERP implementation, and preparing for our initial financial audit while also laying the foundation for a scalable, best-in-class accounting organization.
The ideal candidate is a technically strong, process-minded accounting leader who thrives in fast-growing, entrepreneurial environments and is motivated by the opportunity to design and own the accounting function end to end.
Key Responsibilities :
Establish internal accounting operations previously managed by external providers, including general ledger, AP / AR, payroll, and reconciliations.
Prepare and own monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
Serve as finance lead for implementation of the company's first ERP system (e.g., NetSuite).
Implement processes for capital purchases, including purchase order review, asset capitalization, and depreciation policies.
Build and lead a small but high-performing accounting team over time as the company scales.

The salary range for this role is $190,000 - $225,000, with actual pay varying based on work location, experience, and skills.
