• Experience with patient ratios of 1 : 5 / 1 : 6 for MS Tele and 1 : 3 / 1 : 4 for PCU
• Experience with Epic charting system required

Description :

We are seeking a Registered Nurse in the PCU Float specialty.

The ideal candidate will work with a patient population ranging from adults to geriatrics.

This position requires floating to all medical-surgical, telemetry, and PCU units within the facility.

The expected patient ratio in the PCU units is 1 : 4-5, while in medical-surgical and telemetry units, it is 1 : 5-6.

The nurse will manage arterial lines, administer blood products, and provide care to ventilated patients.

Additionally, the nurse will be responsible for central line care and management, as well as the care of patients with chest tubes.

Interpretation of dysrhythmias and IV insulin protocols are essential skills for this role.

The nurse will work with telemetry monitoring systems and take part in managing cardiology drips without titration.

Knowledge in wound care and the ability to use rapid response and code teams is required.

Candidates must be ready to work every other weekend, averaging six weekends during the contract.

If a major holiday occurs during the assignment period, the nurse will be expected to work it.

Full compliance with onboarding requirements is necessary to ensure a prompt start to the role.

The position will involve working collaboratively with various interdisciplinary support teams.
