Position Title : Software Engineer

Position Overview :

S2Technologies is actively seeking a Software Engineer, to join our dynamic team. This role is integral to our mission of delivering cutting-edge software solutions to our government clients. The successful candidate will be involved in automating and optimizing critical software algorithms, ensuring software compliance with military IT standards, and contributing to the development and integration of innovative IT solutions

Responsibilities :

  • Programming and Development : Leverage expertise in Python, Java, C++, HTML, and various databases to automate High-Performance Computing (HPC) algorithms and support the development of critical software tools.
  • Technical Collaboration : Work closely with government technical SMEs to automate the Windows of Opportunity (WOOs) code, OverWatch, and EagleEye algorithms, and ensure new EMS members can operate these tools efficiently.
  • Software Compliance and Improvement : Ensures all IT products, including software, hardware, and processes, adhere to the AFTAC Enterprise Infrastructure Baseline, proposing any necessary deviations for approval.
  • Agile Methodology : Adopt and execute the Preferred Agile Framework as outlined by the Department of the Air Force, contributing to an adaptable and efficient development process.
  • Documentation : Contribute to customer-required deliverables, including code documentation and other necessary artifacts.

Required Qualifications :

  • At least 10 years of demonstrable experience in software development or engineering, with a preference for candidates experienced in Environmental Modeling and Simulation (EMS) or High-Performance Computing environments.
  • Proficiency in Python, Java, C++, and HTML, and familiarity with various databases (e.g., Access, SQL, Oracle).
  • Demonstrated ability to enhance algorithms and develop software that meets or exceeds operational requirements.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with multiple teams and adapt to changing requirements.

  • Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field is required ; Advanced degrees are preferred.

    • Salary Range : $115,000 - $160,000
