Job Description

American Traveler is hiring a Cath Lab Technologist with at least 2 years of experience in cardiac and vascular interventions for a day shift contract.

Responsibilities

  • Work in an acute care hospital catheterization lab
  • Procedures include coronary diagnostic and intervention, peripheral diagnostic and intervention, and permanent pacemakers
  • Daily caseload ranges from 8 to 12 cases
  • No weekend shifts required
  • Day shift schedule with four 10-hour shifts from 6 : 30 AM to 5 : 00 PM
  • On-call responsibilities are required
  • No routine floating to other units, but may float to affiliate hospitals within the region
  • Epic EMR is used, and experience with Epic is required
  • Scrubs are provided for Cath Lab staff
  • First-time travelers are accepted for this assignment
  • Must be willing to work 2 out of 3 major holidays : Thanksgiving, Christmas, or New Year
  • 30 hours of orientation provided at start of assignment
  • References from at least two supervisory staff covering one year of recent, relevant experience are required for consideration
  • Must comply with 50-mile radius rule for locals
  • Return staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler
  • Time off (RTO) requests must be approved at the time of consideration
  • All travelers are expected to float between affiliated facilities if needed
  • Free parking is provided during orientation, with assignment parking allocated afterward

    • Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Cath Lab Technologist
  • Current ARRT, valid California Fluoro Permit, BLS, and ACLS certifications required
  • RCIS certification is not accepted
  • Experience with Epic charting required
  • License required if applicable
  • Willing to consider candidates with pending California Fluoro Permits if application has been submitted
