About the Role
We are excited to invite applications for the Chief Medical Officer (CMO) position in our Clinical Assessment Review Expert (CAREs) team. This is a vital leadership role where you will shape the future of our national clinical programs, enhancing clinical quality, growth, and financial performance. The ideal candidate will be an innovative leader with extensive experience in clinical and operational management, especially in Utilization Management. Key responsibilities entail leading a dedicated team to evaluate clinical outcomes, affordability metrics, and operational performance, while collaborating with stakeholders to pinpoint emerging clinical trends. You will analyze clinical data to identify avenues for improvement and craft impactful messages for external partners, as well as proactively seeking growth opportunities. We require applicants with an MD or DO degree and an unrestricted medical license, alongside a minimum of 10 years in clinical practice plus 5 years in an executive leadership role managing Utilization Management teams. A sound business acumen, deep knowledge of Utilization Management principles, and success in healthcare delivery systems are essential for this role. Proficiency in evidence-based clinical decision-making and a strong operational mindset are necessary, as well as the ability to work effectively in a complex organizational structure. We are looking for a strategic thinker with excellent business insight who can align clinical strategies with overarching business objectives, backed by a commitment to evidence-based medicine.
