Job Summary

Primary Transportation Services Inc is seeking anexperienced Over-the-Road (OTR) Regional Truck Driverto serve our supply chain logistics department in a safe and timely manner. This position plays a vital role in transporting finished goods and raw materials across regional routes, ensuring customer satisfaction and compliance with transportation regulations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Transport finished goods and raw materials over land to and frommanufacturing plants, retail locations, and distribution centers
  • Safely operate and maintain aClass A commercial vehicle, adhering to DOT regulations
  • Plan routes effectively to meet delivery schedules and optimize efficiency
  • Inspect vehicles formechanical items and safety issues, performing routine preventative maintenance
  • Maneuver trucks intoloading and unloading positions, ensuring proper freight handling
  • Collect and verifydelivery instructionsto ensure accurate shipments
  • Document and logwork / rest periods, mileage, and fuel / toll receipts
  • Input data into automated systems, includingmacros for loading / unloading stages
  • Comply withtruck driving rules and company policies, including regulations on size, weight, parking, and break periods
  • Reportdefects, accidents, or violationsin a timely manner

Qualifications

  • Proven work experienceas a truck driver, preferably in OTR / regional trucking
  • Hands-on experience withelectronic equipment and software(GPS, AVL units, CB radio, etc.)
  • Ability todrive long hoursandtravel regularlyacross regional routes
  • Extensive knowledge oftruck driving rules, regulations, and DOT compliance
  • Strong adaptability and foresight to handleunexpected situations(traffic, weather conditions, delays)
  • Valid Class A Commercial Drivers License (CDL)and DOT medical certification
  • Commitment to safety, professionalism, and teamwork
