Position Summary : Under the direction of a supervisor or lead, performs a variety of tasks and operations that are required to support and execute CNC Swiss department priorities and goals. This includes operating CNC Swiss machines, inspecting parts, completing documentation and performing preventative maintenance and housekeeping duties within the manufacturing space. Adherence to established Standard Work Instructions (SWI’s), Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s), Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Good Documentation Practices (GDP)and Quality Management System (QMS) is essential.
Principle Duties / Responsibilities :
- Operate CNC Swiss machines to support production and customer on-time delivery.
- Perform basic tool wear monitoring and report findings toleador supervisor.
- Perform in-process inspections andidentifyparts out of tolerance.
- Interpret job travelers,blueprintsand inspection documents to accurately machine devices
- Understand and accurately execute EPICOR ERP transactions to support job functions.
- Accurately document production by completing forms, reports,logsand records of jobs and equipment.
- Operate andmaintainequipment by following established procedures, perform preventive maintenance.
- Maintain a safe,cleanand organized work area
- Adhere to Tyber Medical Safety and OSHA requirements.
- Adhere to current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP), Standard Work Instructions (SWI’s), Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s), Good Documentation Practices (GDP), Quality Management System (QMS).
- Other duties as assigned.
Experience / Core Competencies :
Basic knowledge of tool wear monitoring and evaluation.Ability to perform straightforward tool offsets under supervision.Working knowledge of measuring tools, i.e., calipers, micrometers, vision systems, hard gages, etc.Working knowledge of data entry, ERP, and job traveler execution.Working knowledge of SOP, SWI, cGMP, GDP and QMS.Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.Working knowledge of measuring tools, i.e., calipers, micrometers, vision systems, hard gages, etc.Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) symbols.Demonstrated ability to work in a production environment.Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others.Demonstrated ability to work independently with a strong sense of urgency, and effectively under pressure.Willingness to learn and follow instructionsEffective verbal and written communication skills.Strong finger and hand dexterity.Strong visual and auditory acuity.Ability to stand for prolonged periods of time.Ability to lift a minimum of 40 lbs.Required / Preferred Education
High School Diploma, GED or equivalent required.Preferred 1 year of Manufacturing Experience or Equivalent.
