Job description

Position Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated, independent attorney with 0-3 years of experience to join our growing firm. We welcome applications from new law school graduates or third year law students. If desired, you can join our team as a temporary, full-time Law Clerk while studying for the bar exam or while awaiting results. Upon receiving a license to practice in Indiana, you will be promoted to Associate Attorney. Alternatively, if you are already licensed to practice in Indiana, you can directly apply for the Associate Attorney position. This position offers a unique opportunity for career progression, allowing you to ease into the practice of law under the guidance of seasoned attorneys.

The position is in-person at our Shelbyville office. We have a large Spanish-speaking clientele, so Spanish skills are a plus, but not required. As an Associate Attorney, you will have the autonomy to choose your preferred area(s) of practice, and we will help you develop your own client base. You will generally be expected to work a standard 8-5, but you will have great autonomy in how you structure your workday. Our model as a professional association allows us to share expenses, minimizing individual impact (compared to a solo practice), while keeping revenues separate, allowing you to adjust your workload to meet your unique financial goals.

Responsibilities

Note : The original description lays out responsibilities under a general overview; no separate bullet list of day-to-day duties was provided. The role involves independent practice as an Associate Attorney within a professional association framework, with emphasis on developing a client base, choosing practice areas, and managing workload autonomously.
