Plumber Mechanic
Work directing the installation of plumbing and related systems, equipment, and fixtures. This individual is responsible for planning, laying out, participating in, and supervising plumbing work on job sites and in the shop. The employee works with considerable independence except on large construction and modification projects, where some technical supervision is provided. Work assignments for maintenance and repair are received by Teams Construction software, written job requests, and emergency calls. Work is reviewed primarily by users of equipment and systems through observation and conferences while projects are in progress and upon completion. Construction and remodeling work is reviewed for compliance with specifications and building codes. Work is performed under general direction and supervision from leads on site.
Direct the installation of plumbing systems, equipment, and fixtures.
Plan, lay out, and supervise plumbing work on job sites and in the shop.
Operate with considerable independence, except on large construction projects.
Receive work assignments through Teams Construction software, written job requests, and emergency calls.
Ensure compliance with specifications and building codes during construction and remodeling.
Work under general direction and supervision from on-site leads.
Proficient in plumbing installation and blueprint interpretation.
Experience with construction materials like cast iron and PVC.
Skilled in using hand tools and plumbing equipment.
Ability to analyze plumbing defects and determine necessary repairs.
Thorough knowledge of plumbing trade practices and methods.
Experience with cast iron is a big plus.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, sketches, and drawings.
Capable of laying out work from prints and rough plans.
Experience running storm or sanitary systems with helpers.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Hampton, New Jersey.
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $35.00 / hr.
