Patient Care Assistant

VCA Sacramento Veterinary Referral Center is a busy emergency and specialty hospital, open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. We have many Patient Care Assistants helping the various departments and keeping the hospital clean all day and night.

We are currently seeking a Patient Care Assistant to join our team on the overnight shift. The successful candidate will work well as a team but has the ability to be self-sufficient, has a strong desire to grow skills, knowledge and grow as a person, is compassionate, has great communication skills and recognizes the importance of a clean environment for our patients' and co-workers' health.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to :

• Laundry must run at all times.
• Cleaning and maintaining hospital premises, for instance : weeping, mopping, emptying trash, etc. in the communal areas of the hospital.
• Assisting Doctors and Technicians when necessary.
