Location : Mason City, IA
Position Type : Locum Tenens
Specialty : Emergency Medicine
Shifts : 9 & 12-hour shifts, including weekends as needed
On-Call : None
Opportunity Overview :
Seeking a Board-Certified Emergency Medicine Physician (ABEM / AOBEM) to provide locum coverage at our Level III Trauma Center . This is an excellent opportunity to work in a busy, well-equipped emergency department with low transfer rates ( and strong APP support.
Key Details :
- Emergency Department Volume : 33,000 annual visits ( 77 patients / day)
- Coverage :
- 1-2 Physicians during the day
- 1 Physician at night
- 1-2 Advanced Practice Providers (APPs) per shift (Supervision expected)
- Peak Hours : 11 AM 11 PM
- EMR : Cerner PowerChart (transitioning to EPIC in June
- Teaching Hospital : Teaching opportunities available
- Hospital Size : 250 beds
