Job Description : The Electrical Construction Manager leads planning, field execution, and
delivery of electrical scope on industrial construction projects. This role manages subcontractors,
quality, schedule, safety, and technical coordination for all electrical systems, including power
distribution, grounding, duct banks, instrumentation, lighting, and associated controls.
Key Responsibilities
Project Planning & Coordination
- Lead pre-con. planning for electrical scope (work packages, manpower forecasts,
logistics).
Review drawings, specs, schedules, and submittals for constructability and sequencing.Coordinate interface with civil, structural, mechanical, and automation disciplines.Participate in project kickoff, schedule development, execution plans, and procurement.Field Management
Manage electrical subcontractors and vendors on-site.Ability to review and understand Process & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs)Ensure installation meets NEC, NFPA, IEEE, utility, and local authority requirements.Oversee duct bank installation, cable routing, grounding grids, MCCs, switchgear, transformers,lighting, and control systems.
Conduct daily field walks and maintain three-week look-ahead schedules.Quality Assurance & Technical Compliance
Ensure compliance with drawings, specs, and commissioning standards.Review and approve shop drawings, RFIs, equipment submittals, and test plans.Lead ITPs, inspections, as-builts, and red-line coordination.Megger tests, torque logs, panel schedules, grounding continuity, terminations, loopchecks.
Safety Leadership
Enforce site safety policies and LOTO procedures.Participate in daily toolbox talks and safety audits.Support MOPs / EOPs for energization and shutdowns.Cost & Schedule Control
Track progress, percent complete, and productivity.Manage electrical change events and support estimating for scope changes.Support pay applications and validate subcontractor billing.Commissioning & Turnover
Coordinate system energization and commissioning with testing firms and OEMs.Support SAT / FAT, punchlist resolution, and turnover documentation.Required Education / Experience :
10+ years of experience in the Construction Management field.5+ years in a supervisory or management role overseeing field crews and subcontractors.2-4 year degree in Electrical Engineering or related technical or construction field encouraged.Experience managing projects ranging from $10M to $100M+ in scopecement processing, metals processing, Chemical plants, Refineries, Manufacturing facilities,power plants. MEP Installations.
OSHA 30 HourMSHA Part 46 training, 24 HourTRAVEL : Typical 90% - 100% of the time on site. Travel is typical to clients site for the duration
of a project or program. Novaline provides travel per diem at local GSA rates for lodging, meals &
incidentals. We reimburse (2) flights home per month minimum. We provide an allowance for rental
car and fuel to be tracked and reimbursed per receipts
