The Managing Director of Portfolios will guide investment decisions, drive capital deployment, and lead a team managing a $900M+ portfolio across diverse property types and borrower segments. Key Responsibilities
Investment and Portfolio Leadership
- Lead investment strategy and execution across senior and subordinate debt positions.
- Manage portfolio allocation across sectors, geographies, and credit profiles.
- Evaluate and approve transactions, ensuring alignment with fund objectives and credit standards.
- Oversee underwriting, structuring, and closing of new investments.
Performance and Risk Management
Monitor portfolio health, borrower performance, and return metrics.Lead valuation and credit review processes.Strengthen portfolio governance and ensure compliance with fund policies.Identify market trends and strategic opportunities for enhanced performance.Investor Engagement and Reporting
Partner with investor relations and finance teams to deliver clear, data-driven updates.Present performance insights and portfolio analyses to investors.Support fundraising initiatives with detailed reporting and presentations.Team Development and Collaboration
Manage and mentor investment professionals and analysts.Collaborate with senior leadership to refine fund strategy and scale the platform.Foster a culture of precision, accountability, and partnership.Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Real Estate, or Economics; MBA or CFA preferred.8–15 years of experience in real estate credit, structured finance, or private debt.Proven success managing institutional portfolios above $500 million AUM.Strong analytical, modeling, and leadership skills.Experience leading teams and driving results in an entrepreneurial setting.Why Join
