General Laborer

We are seeking reliable and hardworking General Laborers to join our team. This role involves a variety of physical tasks in outdoor environments, requiring strength, stamina, and a strong work ethic. Ideal candidates are comfortable working in all weather conditions and can handle physically demanding tasks.

Responsibilities

• Perform general labor tasks including loading, unloading, and moving materials.
• Lift and carry heavy objects (up to 100 lbs.) throughout the shift.
• Work outdoors in varying weather conditions (hot summers, cold winters).
• Operate basic hand and power tools safely.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Follow safety procedures and company policies at all times.
• Assist skilled tradespeople as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors.

Essential Skills

Ability to work 12-hour shifts, Monday through Friday, with occasional weekends. Comfortable working in outdoor environments year-round. Dependable with a strong work ethic and positive attitude.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Previous labor or construction experience is a plus but not required. Must be willing to work in all weather conditions. Must have good attendance and show up daily. Must be a team player and flexible with duties. Ability to differentiate colors. Must be able to hear noises.

Work Environment

The work environment involves 50% indoor (non-climate controlled) and 50% outdoor work in varying weather conditions. There is occasional exposure to extreme weather conditions, rough terrain, and high noise levels. The role involves frequent exposure to moving parts, cement, concrete, admixtures, dust, diesel fuel, and other potentially hazardous substances. Exposure to water and wet conditions is also common.

This is a contract to hire position based out of Danville, Virginia.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $18.00 / hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
