Job Summary

Houston Skilled Consultancy is seeking a highly skilled and safety-conscious Pile Driver Operator to join our bridge and road construction projects. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating pile-driving equipment to install deep foundations that support highways, bridges, and other heavy infrastructure. This role requires strong technical expertise, adherence to safety standards, and the ability to work effectively in demanding outdoor construction environments.

Key Responsibilities

Operate pile-driving machinery to drive steel, concrete, or timber piles into the ground for foundations.
Interpret blueprints, construction plans, and specifications to ensure accurate pile placement.
Perform daily equipment inspections and routine maintenance to keep machinery in optimal working condition.
Coordinate with site supervisors, engineers, and construction crew to complete projects efficiently.
Monitor driving depth, alignment, and positioning of piles according to project requirements.
Follow all safety protocols and environmental regulations while operating heavy equipment.
Assist in troubleshooting equipment issues and arranging timely repairs when required.
Maintain accurate records of work performed, pile counts, and daily progress reports.

Required Skills and Qualifications

Proven experience as a Pile Driver Operator or in heavy equipment operation within construction.

Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot equipment malfunctions.

Knowledge of pile-driving methods, soil conditions, and construction safety standards.

Ability to read and interpret construction blueprints, drawings, and project specifications.

Good communication skills to work with engineers, site managers, and team members.

Physically fit and able to work in outdoor environments under varying weather conditions.

Valid operators license and any required certifications for heavy equipment operation.

Experience

Minimum 3–5 years of experience in pile driving or related heavy equipment operation.

Experience in bridge, highway, or large infrastructure projects preferred.

Working Hours

Full-time position, typically 40–48 hours per week

Overtime and weekend work may be required depending on project deadlines.

On-site role at bridge and road construction projects.
