Job Description

We are seeking a skilled cook to accurately and efficiently prepare, portion, cook, and present a variety of hot and / or cold food items for various meal periods including breakfast, lunch, dinner, and special / catered events. The ideal candidate will ensure consistent quality and freshness in all dishes while maintaining a clean and organized workstation.

Responsibilities

• Produce meals according to recipes and customer directions, with the ability to create custom recipes independently.
• Assist with food production, including cooking duties.
• Participate in food preparation and portioning by cutting and cleaning a variety of fruit, vegetables, and proteins.
• Ensure consistent quality and flavor by tasting all food prepared.
• Maintain a clean and organized station and kitchen equipment.
• Follow proper rotation and storage of goods, ensuring proper labeling and stocking of ingredients using the FIFO method.
• Create fine dining cuisine on an order basis.

Work Environment

Located in San Francisco, CA, you will work from 8 : 30 AM to 4 : 30 PM, Monday to Friday, with opportunities for PM event-based work. The role is contractor to hire, with a pay rate based on experience. You will be working on the prestigious Ohana floor alongside top executives and celebrities, in a team with a head chef, prep cook, and dishwasher.

This is a Contract position based out of San Francisco, CA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $29.00 - $32.00 / hr.
