The Senior Marketing Strategist is a liaison between the marketing team and sales / product partners. Work is 60% strategic, 40% transactional. The SMS develops and maintains strong relationships with clients, understands their needs, objectives & expectations. The SMS autonomously manages multiple, complex clients and campaigns (size & volume). The SMS works with internal teams (creative, media, digital) to develop campaign concepts, strategies, tactics and timelines. The SMS makes strategy and budget recommendations (~1M oversight), develops and oversees the execution of campaigns, ensuring they are delivered on brand, on time, on budget - and meet stated goals and objectives. The SMS tracks and analyzes performance using various metrics and analytics tools and uses data-driven insights to optimize current and future strategies. The SMS stays informed about industry trends, market developments and competitor activities. The SMS negotiates contracts and agreements with vendors and manages administrative aspect of the work including contract renewals and billing. The SMS may manage Marketing Coordinator(s) and can act as a delegate for the Strategic Marketing Manager when unavailable.

Marketing Strategies : Develops / recommends comprehensive program / product level marketing strategies designed to promote health insurance products and services, aligning with company goals and market trends.Market Research : Understands and leverages market analyses to identify opportunities, competitive landscape, and consumer behaviors - to inform marketing strategies.Project Management : Manages the execution of marketing campaigns from start to finish. Ensures projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.Content Management : Collaborates with internal teams to create compelling and compliant marketing content that resonates with target audiences.Performance Analysis : Monitors and analyzes the performance of marketing programs, using data-driven insights to refine strategies and improve ROI.Budget Management : Develops / recommends marketing spend to deliver on marketing strategy goals. Tracks expenses and ensures campaigns operate within allocated budgets.Purchasing & Vendor Management : Selects vendors and makes purchasing recommendations that support budget and marketing objectives. Supervises production with outside vendors; keeps projects within budget.Partnership & Communication : Builds and maintains strong internal and external partner relationships. Demonstrates excellent verbal and written communication skills.Team Collaboration : Works closely with cross-functional teams including sales, product, creative, digital, and media departments to ensure seamless execution of campaigns and programs.Compliance Oversight : Responsible for ensuring all components follow and adhere to strict review, approval and documentation processes for CMS, KID, URAC and BCBSKS brand guidelines.What you need

Experience : 5+ years business experience including marketing, advertising, product marketing, digital marketing, account-based marketing, sales, sales enablement, communications. Healthcare marketing experience preferred.Bachelor's Degree : Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Communications, or a related field preferred OR 7+ years related Marketing / Business experience in lieu of Bachelor's Degree.Physical Requirements
