Are you a dynamic leader with deep expertise in accounts payable? A well-established organization in the HVAC industry is seeking an Accounts Payable Manager to oversee a talented team and drive process excellence in a high-volume, multi-entity environment.

Position Overview :

The Accounts Payable Manager will be responsible for the full lifecycle of AP operations, including invoice processing, payment runs, vendor management, and compliance. This role leads a team of AP professionals, manages projects and audits, and collaborates with cross-functional partners to support strategic financial objectives. The ideal candidate brings a positive, energetic attitude or extensive AP experience, along with a strong understanding of internal controls and ERP systems.

Key Responsibilities :

Manage daily AP operations, ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices and payments

Lead initiatives to optimize vendor statement organization, AP inboxes, and processing systems

Oversee compliance with internal controls, company policies, and regulatory requirements

Direct annual 1099 processes and maintain thorough documentation for vendors

Supervise, mentor, and develop AP staff, setting performance goals and conducting evaluations

Support month-end and year-end close processes related to accounts payable

Monitor AP aging reports and resolve outstanding issues

Foster a culture of accountability, accuracy, and continuous improvement

Coordinate training and development for AP team members

Collaborate with internal departments to streamline workflows and enhance system integration

Maintain strong relationships with vendors and internal stakeholders

Negotiate payment terms and support procurement in vendor selection

Qualifications :

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required

7–10 years of accounts payable experience, with at least 3–5 years in a managerial role

Experience in a high-volume, multi-entity environment

Proficiency in ERP systems (Sage Intacct preferred) and Microsoft Excel

Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills

Knowledge of SOX compliance and internal audit procedures

Ability to influence cross-functional teams and senior leadership

Pay Details : $80,000.00 to $95,000.00 per year
