Marketing Data Scientist

We’re looking for a Marketing Data Scientist to partner with our Marketing and Product teams and turn data into actionable insights, predictive models, and smarter marketing decisions. You will play a critical role in shaping Notability’s growth strategy through data-driven insights. This is a strategic yet hands-on position where you will analyze marketing performance, optimize campaigns, and develop predictive models to improve user acquisition and retention.

In addition to working closely with the Marketing team, you will also collaborate with the Product team to understand user behavior, experiment with new engagement strategies, and ensure that marketing efforts align with product evolution. You’ll work with internal and external data sources, integrating diverse datasets to create a holistic view of user interactions across Notability’s platforms.

This role is hybrid, with a minimum of two days (Tuesdays & Thursdays) onsite at our San Francisco office.

What You’ll Do

Marketing Analytics & Performance Optimization

• Analyze Marketing Campaigns : Measure marketing performance across paid, organic, referral, and in-app campaigns to optimize ROI and user acquisition efficiency.
• Develop Marketing Attribution Models : Build and refine multi-touch attribution models to track user journeys and assess the effectiveness of various marketing channels.
• Funnel & Retention Analysis : Conduct funnel and cohort analyses to identify user drop-off points and recommend data-driven improvements to increase retention and conversion rates.
• User Segmentation & Personalization : Identify high-value user segments and work with the marketing team to optimize messaging, targeting, and personalization strategies.

Benefits

For this position we are targeting a base pay between $150,000–$205,000. Actual compensation offered will be determined by factors such as job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
