This assignment involves floating to 28-bed Cardiac Telemetry units that provide care for a comprehensive range of cardiac needs, including post-operative patients.
Patient Population : The facility is a Level I Trauma Center serving a population of all ages.Nurse-to-Patient Ratio : The standard ratio is 1 : 4-6 .Support Staff : Nurses are supported by Patient Care Technicians (PCTs) and a Healthcare Unit Coordinator / Secretary.Monitoring Tools : The unit utilizes virtual sitter monitoring and dedicated monitor technicians to oversee telemetry patients.Team Environment : Nurses work together in collaborative teams.Core Job Summary and Responsibilities
The Registered Nurse provides direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures, and protocols of the healthcare organization.
Responsibilities :
Implements and monitors patient care plans for cardiac telemetry patients.Monitors, records, and effectively communicates patient condition updates as appropriate.Serves as the primary coordinator for all disciplines to ensure well-coordinated and seamless patient care.Accurately notes and carries out physician and nursing orders.Assesses and coordinates patient's discharge planning needs with members of the multidisciplinary healthcare team.Complexity of Work :
Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision within the scope of the job.Must be able to maintain performance and professionalism while working in a stressful environment.Safety :
