Base pay range : $25.00 / hr - $30.00 / hr

Primary Function

The AV Technician is an entry-level role focused on learning and supporting the installation of commercial audiovisual systems. This position is ideal for individuals who are eager to develop technical skills, gain hands-on experience, and build a career in the AV industry. Working under the guidance of senior staff, the AV Technician plays a critical role in delivering high-quality installations and supporting project success.

Responsibilities

• Pull, terminate, label, and test AV cabling under the supervision of senior technicians
• Assist with the installation of equipment such as displays, projectors, speakers, microphones, racks, and control devices
• Maintain clean and organized work areas, tools, and vehicles
• Support Lead Technicians in performing system setup, testing, and troubleshooting
• Follow company safety policies and industry best practices on all job sites
• Accurately document work performed, including labeling, redlining drawings, and updating project notes
• Continuously develop technical skills through training, mentorship, and hands-on experience
• Demonstrate professionalism when interacting with clients, contractors, and team members
• Contribute to the successful completion of projects by assisting with tasks as directed
