Equipment Operator

We are seeking an Equipment Operator to join our team. The Equipment Operator will be responsible for operating mobile equipment to load / unload material to support sourcing, dismantling, and to facilitate the movement and processing of scrap materials; including on-site transportation. This position requires attention to detail, the ability to work outdoors in diverse weather conditions, and a commitment to safety and efficiency.

Responsibilities

What You Will Do

• Operate forklifts to dump scrap into roll-offs, trailers, or compactors according to material grades.
• Load trailers to specified weights and replace full trailers from bays.
• Drive trailers across scales and refuel trucks at local gas stations.
• Conduct pre-operational inspections, fueling, and daily lubrication of equipment.
• Complete shipping documents accurately and in a timely manner.
• Maintain cleanliness of work areas and assist with sorting duties as assigned.
• Perform basic preventive maintenance tasks on equipment.
• Must be able to operate vehicles and equipment in a safe and efficient manner.
