Must-Have :

• Must be Board Certified or eligible by the American Board of Psychiatry and Client in adult and / or child psychiatry.
• Flu vaccination required or need medical or religious exemption.
• COVID vaccination required or need medical or religious exemption.

Description :

Perform psychiatric assessments and provide ongoing medication management services for referred patients with mental health disorders.

Eligibility for relevant certifications is required.

Authorized to prescribe controlled substances.

Conduct psychiatric assessments / evaluations and mental status examinations of patients and provide diagnosis according to the current edition of the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders approved by the American Psychiatric Association.

Utilize the current electronic health record system and adhere to applicable psychiatric medical guidelines.

Interface closely with medical staff, including nurses and case managers, for a client-centered approach to mental health care.

Obtain and review data, including laboratory and other diagnostic procedures relevant to the evaluation and treatment of patients.

Provide detailed written reports of assessments, diagnoses, and summaries of treatment provided, completing all necessary medical records.

Contribute specialized input in developing and implementing individualized mental health treatment plans in collaboration with clinical staff.

Offer psychiatric services in outpatient clinics through telehealth and / or in-office visits.

Provide consultation and peer guidance for other psychiatrists or therapists regarding patient evaluation and treatment.

Consult with medical directors about policies and issues related to mental health patient evaluation and treatment as needed.

Participate in quality assurance and performance improvement activities when required.

Provide expert advice and counseling for families and caregivers regarding patient issues, diagnoses, and treatment courses.

Prepare legal and court-related documents and reports when necessary.

Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients and staff.

Understanding of the principles of normalization and commitment to community integration.

Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.

Strong communication and documentation skills, including proficiency in computerized systems.

Flexibility in scheduling and working in a consumer-driven environment.

Strong interpersonal skills to work with a diverse population.

Clinical office environment requiring collaboration with interdisciplinary teams as well as interaction with patients.

Ability to produce work using computers and office equipment.

MUST be present for in-person consultations at least one day per week.

Credentialing may take 30 to 60 days.

An interview is required for candidates.

This position does not accept multiple providers.
