Accountant III

Accounting Position

Performs a variety of specialized and / or complex accounting functions for a line of business / program or set of accounts. Maintains, reconciles, and analyzes general ledger and accounts, and prepares complex transactions and journal entries, requiring a deep understanding of the business or program. Executes the financial close process, and prepares financial statements and complex reports. Prepares schedules for audits and tax filings, and researches and resolves accounting discrepancies. Perform quality reviews of accounting transactions and processes, and provides training and guidance to team members as necessary.

Education : Bachelor's in Finance, Accounting, Business or Healthcare Administration, or related field.

Typical Experience : 5 years of recent relevant experience.

Preferred Experience :

• Extensive expertise in capital management processes
• Knowledge of finance leases
• Construction capitalization
• Depreciation budgeting
• Ability to manage and analyze large data sets in Excel

Skills and Knowledge :

Pay Range is $41.45 to $62.18 / hour. The salary range for this role may vary above or below the posted range as determined by location. Compensation takes into account several factors including but not limited to a candidate's experience, education, skills, licensure and certifications, department equity, training and organizational needs.
