SUMMARY

Paragon Professional Services, is currently seeking a Transportation Coordinator We are looking for an experienced Transportation Coordinator that is highly motivated, self-starter and a change agent to develop processes to enhance user experience and drive value to their organizations.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

o Ensure all transportation activities are carried out smoothly and efficiently.

o Maintain proper communication with clients, carriers, and other stakeholders to determine their needs and priorities.

o Schedule and coordinate transportation activities based on the needs of the client and the availability of vehicles.

§ Ensure that all applicable regulations and laws are complied with regarding transportation operations.

• Track and monitor shipments using transportation management systems.

§ Address and resolve any customer complaints or issues related to transportation.

§ Manage and maintain relationships with carriers, including negotiating rates, terms, and service level agreements.

§ Identify potential cost savings and process efficiencies in the transportation network.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Work Environment characteristics described here are representative of those that must be borne by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

The job is performed in an open element setting with exposure to high stress situations and requires extensive ability to think under pressure in high stress situations. The work described herein is primarily in detention facility setting. Occasional travel may be required. This position requires the applicant to report to work daily and off hours in the event of an emergency incident.

ADDITIONAL QUALIFYING FACTORS

As a condition of employment, you will be required to pass a pre-employment drug screening and have acceptable background check results. If applicable to the contract, you must also obtain the appropriate clearance levels required and be able to obtain access to military installations.
