Wonderful College Prep Academy is a charter network in California's Central Valley committed to providing a world-class education for all students. The Academy's first school opened in Delano in 2009, serving students from across the Central Valley in grades 6-12. In 2016, we moved to our new, state-of-the-art college prep campus in Delano, and in the Fall of 2017, added an elementary school in Delano and opened a second charter school in Lost Hills. In Delano, we serve over 1,800 students in grades TK-12, while in Lost Hills, we serve over 400 students in grades TK-12.

Job Description
The SPED Teacher's role will be to create a supportive learning environment in which to help students meet their learning goals. Through interesting and diverse methods, successful strategies to reach IEP goals, and access grade-level curriculum. They oversee student progress by tracking assignment and exam grades in order to provide useful feedback. WCPA teachers are results-driven educators with experience in and commitment to standards-based curriculum and the use of data and assessments to drive instructional decisions.

Working Conditions :
Environment : School environment; fast-paced work, constant interruptions.Physical requirements : Hearing and speaking to exchange information, make presentations and communicate over the telephone; seeing to read, prepare, and proofread documents and view computer monitors; sitting or standing for extended periods of time; dexterity of hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard and other office equipment; kneeling, bending at the waist, and reaching overhead, above the shoulders and horizontally, to retrieve and store files and supplies; lifting light objects; ability to go to sites apart from primary office to conduct busines.Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree requiredA California Education Specialist Credential (mild / mod); PIP / STSP / waivers will be considered.Familiarity with and / or the ability to learn SIRUS, IEP writing, and Special Ed Reporting SoftwareFamiliarity with and / or the ability to learn RTI, co-teaching, collaboration, Push-In, Pull-out, Learning Lab Intervention, and small-group teaching models.Demonstrated mastery of classroom skills, including classroom management, planning, assessment, and instructional practiceProficiency with various technologies and teaching toolsBilingual ability preferredSkills, Knowledge :
Preparing and implementing lesson plans that lead to student understanding based on state standardsProviding an effective learning environment that reflects and facilitates student achievementAssessing student progress and maintaining accurate recordsWriting and conducting IEPs and facilitating IEP meetingsProctoring Formal AssessmentsUpdating service logs and filesCommunicating with partnering agenciesParticipating in SST MeetingsMaintaining frequent communication with students, students' families, colleagues, and leadershipParticipating regularly in professional development opportunitiesAppropriately communicating and interacting with other professional staff in academic planning and school committee work.Attending and participating in staff meetings and extra-curricular / school-related activities, and committees.Demonstrating a commitment to continuous professional growth and working with administrators to formulate and complete professional development plans.Maintaining a professional appearance and demonstrating behavior that is conscientious and responsible.Pay Range : $66,745.12 - $110,152.35 . Final compensation will be dependent upon skills & experience.
