Carpenter And Concrete Finisher
As a Carpenter and Concrete Finisher, you will work on job sites all throughout. This is an 80% travel based position in which all work will occur on the road. Projects will range between 3 to 7 weeks by a cross-functional team of 4 to 20 members handling all trades required to get the work done collectively. The team will be expected to push the limits of construction technology and techniques, and as such will have direct feedback contact with design engineers, project managers, and business developers related to the program.
What you'll do :
- Obsessive attention to detail and commitment to craftsmanship in concrete formwork, site layout, and concrete finish
- Strong working knowledge of job site safety with ability to thoroughly evaluate job hazards and complete pre-work task planning with an emphasis on identifying hazards
- Must have strong interpersonal skills, along with the ability to interact with all levels of management; must have high degree of initiative, and the ability to work alone and effectively with other people
- Extensive knowledge in using hand and power tools
- The ability to think outside the box and find innovative solutions
What you'll bring :
Personal hand tools, tool belts and other small personal tools (power tools are company provided)Experience operating excavator, bobcat, scissor lifts, boom lifts and forkliftsOSHA-10 preferredLift 50 lbs. from ground and pull 50 lbs. of force, maintain a standing position for long periods of time while performing repetitive actions and fully squat, stoop or kneel while wearing a 25 lbs. tool beltValid driver's license requiredAbility to work in challenging environments (hot sun, cold, wind, tight spaces, etc.), capable of standing for long stretches of time and working at heights (on rooftops, climb ladders and stairs)Ability to safely handle tools and materials commonly found in construction and solar industries, ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with those contacted in the course of work, including but not limited to peers and customersCompensation and benefits :
