Nurse Practitioner - Archview Services

Job Summary :

The Nurse Practitioner works in collaboration with a physician to provide comprehensive wellness, acute, episodic, and chronic care to families and individuals across the life span within a community health center.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities :

• Provide services related to health maintenance and promotion.
• Perform physical examinations and assessment of individuals of various life spans.
• Assist with diagnosis, treatment and management of acute and chronic health conditions.
• Order, perform and interpret laboratory and radiology tests.
• Prescribe medications including controlled substances to the extent delegated and licensed.
• Consult with the collaborative physician as needed for patient care that requires extensive case management and referral (s).
• Perform other therapeutic or corrective measures as indicated, including urgent care.
• Prepare and maintain accurate patient records, charts and documents to support sound medical practice and reimbursement for services provided.
• Adhere to the practice of confidentially regarding patients, families, staff and the organization.
• Performs all other duties as assigned.

This position is classified as non-exempt under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA). Employees in non-exempt positions are entitled to receive overtime pay for any hours worked over 40 in a workweek in accordance with state and federal regulations.
