Responsibilities
- Responsible for creating and writing various types of user documents, including how-to guides, references, manuals, cheat sheets, or instructions.
- Explain scientific and technical ideas in simple language.
- Work with customers to translate their functional requirements into detailed technical specifications.
- Support the engineering team with documentation for system components and engineering artifacts.
- Provide overall leadership of the technical writing tasks and serve as primary liaison to the government for supporting contract coordination and task execution.
- Process Owner for all technical documentation on the program including documentation produced by professional technical writers under management.
- Write and edit technical documentation for the project’s hardware and software to include installation, configuration and how-to documentation.
- Create code documentation for software; produce implementation guides and end-user guides for capabilities; provide field, data definition, and data flow documentation; format technical publications from pamphlets, technical drawings, and consultations with technical personnel and other available resources.
- Prepare, review, revise, and maintain technical documents including software and systems engineering, system operations, testing and user documentation.
- Distill complex information into clear, concise text.
- Apply writing and grammar skills to deliver accurate documentation under tight deadlines.
Qualifications
Required :
Bachelor's degree and at least 5 years of experience in a technical or lead writing role (equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered in lieu of degree).Proven ability to distill complex information into clear, concise text.US Citizen with ability to pass T1 investigation.Demonstrated excellent writing and grammar skills combined with ability to work independently and deliver accurate content under pressure and tight deadlines.Proven experience designing and delivering developer-oriented documentation as well as working directly with development teams.Experience using multiple tools to develop base templates and manipulate output styles.Thorough understanding of software development (SDLC), IC ITE, RMF, and other key terminology in this PWS.Desired :
Secret security clearance.Graduate degree in related area of study.Demonstrated expertise in migrating documentation to an automation-driven process.What You Can Expect

The proposed salary range for this position is $57,500-$117,900, with final compensation contingent on factors such as location, experience, and qualifications. This position can be worked in multiple locations.
