We are offering a contract for a Financial Analyst role in the service industry, based in Rochester, New York. This role is available for in-office, remote, or hybrid work arrangements, providing flexibility. As a Financial Analyst, your primary focus would be on data cleanup, transformation, and maintenance, especially in relation to mergers and acquisitions.

Responsibilities :

  • Analyze large datasets to identify patterns, trends, and discrepancies using your expert analytical skills.
  • Ensure data accuracy and integrity, spotting inconsistencies and errors with high attention to detail.
  • Use your knowledge of data quality standards and data governance to maintain and improve data quality.
  • Perform data validation and individual record entry to ensure the data matches and is clean.
  • Use Excel for data analysis, including VLookups and filtering, and familiarity with Pivot Tables.
  • Work with ERP / AX systems where all the data is housed.
  • Occasionally use Smartsheets for data management.
  • Communicate effectively to understand requirements and ask for clarification when encountering data issues or questions.
  • Work on lists related to customers, vendors, work addresses, etc. for data cleanup and maintenance.
  • Contribute to the integration activities related to mergers and acquisitions (M& A).
  • Proficiency in VLOOKUP functions is essential for the role of Financial Analyst, as it aids in extracting and analyzing data from large databases.
  • Familiarity with Smartsheet software is required, as it is widely used in our service industry for work management and automation.
  • A strong ability to perform Data Analysis is necessary, as this role involves interpreting complex financial data and providing actionable insights.
  • The candidate must possess skills in Data Validation to ensure the accuracy and reliability of data used for analysis.
  • Knowledge of Mergers & Acquisitions (M& A) is crucial, as the role may involve providing financial insights for strategic business decisions involving M& As.
