Remote Accountant

A company is looking for a Remote Accountant in Correctional Services.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare and report monthly operating results to Accounting Leadership, including variance explanations

Supervise the preparation of monthly operating statements to ensure compliance with contractual obligations and company policies

Maintain the accuracy of the general ledger and review balance sheets quarterly for compliance

Required Qualifications

2-3 years of experience in accounts payable or accounting

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field preferred; equivalent experience will be considered

Technical knowledge of accounting regulations, policies, and procedures

Strong computer skills, including proficiency in accounting databases and Excel

Ability to thoroughly analyze and research information
