Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical / Neuro

Location : 2401 W Belvedere Ave, Baltimore, MD 21215

Shift : Nights | 3x12-Hour (7 : 00 PM – 7 : 30 AM)

Position Overview :

Seeking a skilled Neuro Med / Surg Telemetry RN to join a Certified Stroke Center and Level IV Epilepsy Monitoring Unit (EMU). This unit primarily cares for patients with neurological diagnoses while also functioning as a telemetry overflow for other medical-surgical patients.

Unit Information :

  • Unit : 3 South – Neuro Med / Surg Telemetry / EMU
  • Designation : Certified Stroke Center & Level IV Epilepsy Monitoring Unit
  • Patient Mix : Predominantly neurological cases; telemetry overflow for diverse populations
  • Ratio : Standard Med / Surg Tele ratios
  • Environment : Collaborative, high-acuity setting offering exposure to both neuro and general telemetry care

    • Requirements :

  • Experience :

    • Neurology experience – required

  • Med / Surg Telemetry experience – required
  • Certifications :

    • BLS (AHA) – required

  • ACLS (AHA) – required
  • NIHSS – required
  • Testing :

    • Basic EKG testing required (must be completed via Prophecy Relias before orientation)

    Additional Details :

  • Schedule : 3x12 Nights (7 : 00 PM – 7 : 30 AM)
  • Weekend Requirement : Every other weekend
  • Holiday Requirement : Every other holiday
  • Guaranteed Hours : 36 hours per week
  • Contract Length : 13 weeks (extensions possible)
  • Floating : Yes – may float to other Med / Surg or Tele units as needed
  • First-Time Travelers : Accepted if meeting experience requirements
