Sr. Project BIM Designer

Summary

Our client is one of the largest and most respected structural engineering firms in Southern California. They are currently seeking a Senior Project BIM Designer to join a dynamic team in San Diego . This role offers significant opportunities for professional growth, leadership, and engagement in some of the most exciting and complex structural engineering projects in the region.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Translate 2D design documents and specifications into 3D models, incorporating 4D (time and sequencing) and 5D (cost and budget) project elements.
• Lead the development and implementation of BIM Execution Plans for structural engineering projects.
• Manage and oversee BIM processes, including 3D modeling, 4D project scheduling, and whole building life cycle assessment (WBLCA).
• Utilize BIM to extract material and construction quantities for internal cost estimation and provide real-time budget insights to guide design decisions.
• Conduct clash detection and model coordination to resolve interdisciplinary design conflicts.
• Collaborate closely with engineers, architects, and project managers to ensure seamless integration of BIM tools and strategies throughout all project phases.
