About The Position

Job Title : ICU Registered Nurse

Profession : Registered Nurse

Duration : 13 weeks

Shift : Day and Night

Hours per Shift : 12 hours

Experience : Minimum 2 years of experience in SICU

License : Valid state nursing license required

Certifications : ACLS, BLS required; NIHSS, TNCC preferred

Must-Have :

• Strong communication skills and customer service orientation
• Experience with AIDET and hourly rounding

Description :

Bedside shift reporting (BSSR) is required for this unit.

Utilization of AIDET is expected.

Hourly rounding is part of daily responsibilities.

Travelers are accepted for first-time assignments.

Float to MICU as needed.

Patient observer duties may be required.

Patient ratios are typically 2 : 1 during days and nights.

Great customer service and phone etiquette are essential.

Knowledge of AHA certifications is required prior to start.

Candidates must have experience in arterial line management and blood product administration.

Experience with care of ventilated patients and central line management is necessary.

Candidates should be proficient in monitoring central venous pressure and interpreting dysrhythmias.

Experience with multi-system organ failure and post-operative care in surgical intensive care is preferred.

Knowledge of trauma protocols and management of traumatic brain injury is beneficial.

Candidates are expected to complete necessary compliance requirements promptly.
