SUMMARY : Responsible for managing the student information system and supporting all staff by managing and maintaining student data and related information, as well as preparing and creating reports.
SALARY : $68,265 - $83,116
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Other duties may be assigned.
Coordinate and upload data related to state systems and other appropriate data management systems.
Complete required reporting at the district, state, and federal levels and verifies the integrity of data.
Works to ensure that the district's student data is maintained in accordance with local, state, and federal policies and regulation.
Implements and monitors the Student Information System (SIS) customizations.
Provides professional development, support, and training to staff on the SIS and other systems as appropriate.
Manages the daily operations of the SIS.
Assist the technology department to create and manage student and staff Google accounts.
Ensure all third-party applications and programs that integrate with SIS are working as intended.
SQL query writing, data recovery, and warehousing.

EDUCATION and / or EXPERIENCE :
Bachelor's degree in the field of computer science preferred.
Associates degree and a minimum of three years of equivalent work experience
Experience with PowerSchool and PowerTeacher Pro gradebook preferred
LANGUAGE SKILLS :
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of administrators and the general public.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS :
Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
REASONING ABILITY :
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
OTHER SKILLS and ABILITIES :
Ability to work collaboratively with a variety of people.
Strong organizational skills and problem-solving skills and has the ability to work independently.
Ability to learn new software
Detail-oriented.
Ability to perform duties with awareness of all district requirements and School Committee policies.
