The Role :
The Manufacturing Process Engineer provides technical expertise to support manufacturing systems, aiming to enhance safety, quality, throughput, and efficiency. Success in this role requires adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
What You'll Do (Responsibilities) :
- Support daily production needs by maintaining strong relationships with Production and Maintenance teams.
- Manage downtime events by offering technical guidance.
- Design safe, quality-focused, efficient work operations with integrity.
- Lead Continuous Improvement efforts to eliminate waste.
- Identify bottlenecks and support productivity improvements.
- Improve productivity metrics to reduce costs.
- Coach and teach lean manufacturing principles to team members.
- Lead problem-solving initiatives.
- Collaborate across all organizational levels.
- Work with machine / tool builders on new equipment design and implementation.
- Create and maintain Process Flow Diagrams, Control Plans, and PFMEAs.
- Lead equipment installation, debugging, launch, and improvement activities.
- Contribute to lessons learned and process updates.
- Provide technical oversight of outside vendors.
- Ensure equipment and processes meet design requirements using GD&T skills.
- Identify and request spare parts.
- Develop Preventative Maintenance Plans and train teams to execute them.
- Analyze data, identify root causes, and resolve issues affecting assembly, quality, or throughput.
- Support new process and equipment implementation.
- Provide technical support for manufacturing operations.
- Gather customer input to understand needs.
