Merchandising Sales Specialist

Compensation : $14.26 - $14.26 Hourly

Overall Job Summary

Join our dynamic Field Activity Support Team (FAST) as a key player in delivering exceptional customer experiences. As a Merchandising Sales Specialist, you will embrace a variety of essential tasks, including executing planograms, updating signage, managing price changes, and conducting physical inventories. Your role is vital in maintaining our visual merchandising standards and ensuring customers receive Legendary Service.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Ensure reliable attendance and stay flexible to meet the demands of our fast-paced environment.
  • Work scheduled shifts Monday through Thursday, adapting as business needs evolve.
  • Maintain regular communication with the District FAST Supervisor on task completion and solutions.
  • Accurately execute planograms and updates in a timely manner.
  • Uphold high visual merchandising standards and perform specific store measurements.
  • Assemble merchandise, fixtures, and other products as needed.
  • Conduct inventory counts and maintain price changes efficiently.
  • Deliver unparalleled customer service by actively engaging with customers through our GURA service model :
  • Greet the Customer.
  • Uncover Customer's Needs & Wants.
  • Recommend Product Solutions.
  • Ask to Add Value & Appreciate the Customer.
  • Provide peak coverage during busy times.
  • Be prepared to take on additional duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

Experience : Prior retail and merchandising experience is essential. Knowledge in farming, ranching, pet / equine, or welding is a plus. Candidates must be 18 years or older.

Education : A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred but not mandatory. Strong reading, writing, and counting skills are required.

Preferred Knowledge, Skills or Abilities

  • Knowledge in farming, ranching, pet / equine, or welding is highly desirable.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
  • Basic computer literacy.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to effectively resolve issues.
  • Ability to work independently on tasks with minimal supervision.

    • Working Conditions

  • Generally works indoors with moderate noise levels.
  • Floor surfaces are generally hard (concrete, asphalt), with adequate lighting and temperature control.
  • Shifts may vary but typically range from 4 to 8 hours or more.
  • Commitment to a safe work environment for both team members and customers.

    • Physical Requirements

  • Ability to move merchandise up to 50 pounds and assist in handling heavier loads with equipment.
  • Occasional lifting and reaching for products overhead are required.
  • Frequent standing, bending, twisting, and climbing ladders.
  • Ability to navigate throughout the store efficiently during shifts.
  • Must communicate effectively with team members and customers.
  • Must handle birds or poultry as part of job responsibilities.
  • Complete all necessary training successfully.
  • Essential stamina to work safely and effectively across different store areas.
  • Efficient operation of job-related equipment.
