Senior Tax Accountant Generalist
Location : Hybrid within Florida service area locations

Your role in our success :
This position is a key contributor to our Tax Compliance team ensuring compliance across all tax domains-while supporting strategic initiatives to optimize tax benefits and mitigate exposure. This role involves preparing and reviewing tax returns, ensuring timely filings, maintaining accurate records, and assisting with audits and tax research. This position works closely with internal departments and external advisors to ensure compliance with current tax laws and to identify opportunities for tax savings and risk mitigation.
What you'll be working on :
- Preparing and reviewing and filing consolidated federal and state tax returns, and supporting files
- Preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual income tax provisions; and supporting files
- Preparing journal entries and analyzing financial results and variances
- Assisting with tax planning projects and tax forecast
- Researching income tax opportunities and tax law changes
- Responding to tax notices and audits
- Reviewing and maintaining tax fixed assets
- Supporting the Regulatory team with rate case requests and reporting needs
- Providing ad hoc support with strategic initiatives, technology enhancements and process improvements
- Perform other job-related duties, as assigned
Who you are :
Bachelor of Science in accounting, finance, business or related fieldThree (3) years minimum of relevant tax experience in public accounting or corporate tax
Experience in S4 / HANA preferredRegular Driver's LicenseNone required, Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license preferredStrong analytical skillsStrong skills in MS ExcelExcellent verbal and written communication skillsAbility to work proactively and independentlyAbility to identify and implement process efficiencies for overall process improvementAbility to manage multiple priorities simultaneously and properly prioritizeSolid understanding of domestic income tax law and US GAAPAbility to contribute as a team player and work effectively within a teamAbility to continuously learn to develop skills, enhance performance and prepare for growthProficient in tax software (OneSource), research tools (Checkpoint), Blackline, and MS Office Suite.
