- Madrigal’s medication, Rezdiffra (resmetirom), is a once-daily, oral, liver-directed THR-β agonist designed to target key underlying causes of MASH. Rezdiffra is the first and only medication approved by both the FDA and European Commission for the treatment of MASH with moderate to advanced fibrosis (F2 to F3). An ongoing Phase 3 outcomes trial is evaluating Rezdiffra for the treatment of compensated MASH cirrhosis (F4c).

- Role Overview :
- Director, Global Market Access
- The Director, Global Market Access, is responsible for developing and supporting integrated global market access strategies that optimize pricing, recommendations, and payer acceptance for Madrigal’s product offering worldwide. Reporting to the Executive Director of Market Access, the Director collaborates with the Regional Market Access Lead(s) and across functions, ensuring alignment with business priorities and the effective positioning of Madrigal products. This is a hybrid position (3 days in office) is based in Waltham or Conshohocken.
- Position Responsibilities :
- Develop and Support Market Access Strategies
- Design and implement integrated global market access and payer strategies and approval processes with a deep understanding of payer dynamics and market access stakeholders, in collaboration with Regional Market Access Team(s)
- Align strategies with lifecycle management to optimize pricing, access, and funding for Madrigal products
- Lead payer market research, integrating product’s value proposition and supporting clinical information, to determine achievable price, including gross to net, and optimal evidence package
- Conduct secondary research for relevant analogues determining prices, HTA review outcomes, and burden of disease to inform price and market access estimates, inform target product profile and clinical trials development program
- Drive Market Access Potential
- Inform internal decision-making on portfolio prioritization, Target Product Profiles, and Target Value Propositions.
- Support strategies with deep functional knowledge, in-depth market research, robust data & analog assessments.
- Evaluate and mitigate corporate risk related to market access by monitoring environmental trends and emerging challenges, including P&R system reforms and evolving competitive access landscapes
- Foster Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with HEOR to ensure robust value proposition and integrated evidence plans are optimized to support global market access and reimbursement
- Ensure global market access is aligned to the global brand strategy and build strong cross-functional relationships including : Marketing, Public Affairs, Communications, Medical Affairs, Regional Leads, and Country Market Access Leads
- Provide seamless rollout and training on global strategies, tools, and tactics across Regional and Country teams
- Qualifications :
- Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree in healthcare or business preferred
- 12+ years of experience in biopharma with 6+ years in Global Market Access, experience directly in International markets preferred
- Proven ability to identify trends impacting business and develop strategies for sustainable success
- Experience in creating strategies for timely, quality, and affordable patient access
- Key competencies : quantitative and analytical skills driving towards strategic business solutions, financial acumen, strong written and oral communication skills including the ability to effectively write and deliver presentations to all levels
- Recognized as a team player with excellent interpersonal skills with experience navigating internal processes and mobilizing stakeholders in a collaborative, reliable manner
- Ability to influence and interface internally and externally at senior levels
