About the Role:

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Senior Insider Threat Program Manager to join our Trust & Security team. In this vital position, you will lead the strategy for our Insider Threat program, focusing on technical control implementation, detection and response processes, and employee training and awareness initiatives. You'll collaborate across various functions such as security, engineering, corporate IT, legal, and human resources to develop a proactive insider threat program that safeguards Confluent's sensitive assets and customer data while fostering a positive workplace atmosphere.

What You Will Do:

• Strategy and Roadmap: Define and drive the multi-year technical roadmap for the Insider Threat program, with an emphasis on advanced detection methods, behavioral analytics, and technical countermeasures.
• Technical Program Leadership: Oversee the planning and execution of complex technical projects within the Insider Threat domain, ensuring they are delivered on schedule and within budget.
• Engineering Partnership: Serve as the primary liaison between Trust & Security and various stakeholders, translating operational needs into clear technical requirements for implementation.
• Detection & Analytics: Guide the selection and optimization of technical tools and platforms to monitor and respond to anomalous user behavior.
• Policy and Compliance: Collaborate with Legal and HR to ensure all technical controls comply with global privacy laws and company policies.
• Process Improvement: Enhance incident response processes for insider threats and develop metrics to assess program effectiveness.
• Employee Trainings & Awareness: Create training materials to ensure employees comprehend the Acceptable User Policy.

What You Will Bring:

• Experience: 8+ years in security program management, with at least 5 years focused on Insider Threat or Data Loss Prevention programs.
• Technical Skills: In-depth knowledge of security controls, network architecture, cloud environments, and advanced detection technologies.
• Program Management Skills: Strong organizational abilities, project management skills, and a data-driven approach to problem-solving.
• Communication and Collaboration: Exceptional verbal and written communication, capable of influencing and uniting teams without direct authority.
