Construction Manager – Flammable Chemical Production Facility
Overview
We are seeking an experienced Construction Manager to lead the ground-up development of a new production facility in Arkansas . This is a greenfield project — only cleared land is in place today. The Construction Manager will be responsible for planning, executing, and commissioning the site safely, on time, and to the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
Safety & Compliance
- Serve as the primary site leader for safety, ensuring protection of all personnel in a high-hazard chemical environment.
- Implement and enforce safety systems, policies, and procedures specific to bromine and chlorine handling.
- Drive a culture of zero harm through audits, safety meetings, and corrective actions.
- Maintain compliance with all EPC-driven regulations and permitting requirements
Construction Leadership
Develop detailed construction paths, schedules, and work areas.Oversee daily construction execution to ensure work meets plans, drawings, and specifications.Manage inspections, QA / QC processes, NCRs, and corrective actions to maintain quality.Provide technical oversight for specialty systems, including fiberglass pipe, corrosion-resistant vessels, and pipeline integration.Lead constructability reviews and resolve design / field issues through the RFI process.Team & Contractor Management
Evaluate and select contractors for each project phase, monitor performance and compliance.Build and lead a construction team with responsibility for safety, quality, cost, and schedule.Work collaboratively with engineering, procurement, and contractor teams to resolve field challenges.Demonstrate steady, hands-on leadership that builds confidence and fosters team performance.Requirements
Experience : 20+ years in direct construction management of chemical plants, refineries, or similar facilities.Industry Background : Flammable chemicals, Bromine, chlor-alkali, chlorine, or fiberglass piping / vessels experience highly preferred.QA / QC Expertise : Demonstrated strength in construction quality systems.Education : Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field preferred but not required.Certifications : OSHA, PMP, or equivalent professional certifications desirable.Travel / Relocation : Initial assignment in Greater Houston with relocation to Arkansas in Q1 2026.
