Non CDL Delivery Truck Driver

Immediate opening for a NON CDL Delivery Truck Driver and we want the right Trucker to join us at Ryder in Grimes, IA. For more details call Susan or text "Grimes" to 662-863-7929.

Driver Positions Pay Weekly : Average Weekly Pay : $975-$1000. Hours Per Week : 40.2 hours per week. Paid Training. Schedule : Monday Friday. Start Time : 6 : 00 AM - 7 : 00 AM Dispatch.

Deliver Solo : IA. Route : Dedicated Home Daily. Tractor Type : Straight Truck. Trailer Type : 20-26' Straight Trucks. Equipment : Pallet Jack and Liftgate. Ryder will train you on all equipment needed to be successful. Freight : Touch Auto Parts Trucks are 36 months or newer, include 24 / 7 Roadside Maintenance and company drivers fuel up the trucks at over 800 Maintenance Facilities Nationwide.

Requirements :

  • Minimum 21 years of age
  • Minimum of 6 months of verifiable driving experience
  • Pass a Ryder drug test
  • Must have verifiable driving experience (must be in like equipment if position being applied for is operating a straight truck or box truck) :
  • 6 months experience in the past 3 years, OR
  • 2 years' experience within the last 5 years, OR
  • 5 years' experience within the last 10 years
  • Pass a Ryder background and motor vehicle check including drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years
  • Pass a DOT physical
  • Pass a Ryder road test
  • Must have a valid driver's license
  • Ability to follow written and / or oral instructions
  • Ability to read, interpret and apply laws, rules, regulations policies and / or procedures

    • Important Note : Some positions require additional screening that may include employment and education verification; motor vehicle records check and a road test; and / or badging or background requirements of the customer to which you are assigned.

    Responsibilities :

  • This position is primarily responsible for safely driving a vehicle within and requires compliance with safety regulations, continuous training and customer service.
  • Additional responsibilities include but are not limited to :
  • Ensuring compliance with applicable federal and / or state laws, regulations, and / or agency rules, standards and guidelines
  • Detecting and eliminating or minimizing safety hazards
  • Maintaining accurate records
  • Loading / Unloading freight or assisting in the loading / unloading of freight if required by customer
  • Other tasks as assigned
